Renewal of Registered Trademarks:The period of validity of a registered trademark shall be ten years, counted from the date of approval of the registration. Where the registrant intends to continue to use the registered trademark beyond the expiration of the period of validity, an application for renewal of the registration shall be made within six months before the said expiration. Where no application therefore has been filed within the said period, a grace period of six months may be allowed. If no application has been filed at the expiration the grace period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled.
Assignment of Registered Trademarks:
Where a registered or applicationed trademark is assigned, the assignor and assignee shall conclude a contract for the assignment, ,and jointly file an application with the NATIONAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ADMINISTRATION.To use a trademark that is identical with or similar to the trademark in respect of the identical or similar goods,the trademark should be assignment at the same time.The assignment of a registered trademark shall be published after it has been approved, and the assignee enjoys the exclusive right to use the trademark from the date of publication.
Recordation of Change of Name/Address/Assignment/License
All changes of registrant including name and/or address shall be recorded with the Trademark Office. The recordal of change should be made for all the registered trademarks owned by the same registrant at the same time.
Licensing of Registered Trademarks:Where any party is authorized to use a registered trademark of another person, The trademark license contract shall be submitted to the Trademark Office for record, and shall be published by the NATIONAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ADMINISTRATION.
