Applicant: Any natural person, legal entity or other organization intending to acquire the exclusive right to use a trademark, shall file an application for the registration of the trademark with the National Intellectual Property Administration.

Composition of trademark marks: including words, devices, letters of an alphabet, numerals, three-dimensional signs, combination of colours, sounds, etc., as well as the combination of such signs.

Registration process:

1. Trademark selection: customers choose the trademark to be registered according to their own needs.

2. Free inquiry: inquire before registration according to the trademark selected by the customer, and inquire whether there is any prior right obstacle trademark.

3. Trademark determination: based on the query results, give Suggestions to the customer on applying for trademark marks and designated goods or services, and finally determine the applied trademark marks and designated goods/services.

4. Prepare materials: prepare registration application materials as required.

5. Application: submit application materials to the National Intellectual Property Administration.

6. Review stage: formal review and substantive review shall be conducted by the National Intellectual Property Administration.

7. Preliminary examination announcement: if the examination is in conformity with the relevant provisions of the trademark law, the preliminary examination and approval announcement shall be made.

8. Registration announcement: during the initial review announcement, there is no objection, the registration is approved and the registration is announced.

9. Issue of registration certificate: the trademark registration certificate shall be issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration.
