“Design” means any new design of the shape, the pattern or their combination, or the combination of the color with shape or pattern of a product, which creates an aesthetic feeling and is fit for industrial application. Appearance design refers to the appearance design of industrial products, that is, the style of industrial products.

A design patent is the object of the patent right and the object protected by the patent law.in article 2 of the patent law of China ,“Design” means any new design of the shape, the pattern or their combination, or the combination of the color with shape or pattern of a product, which creates an aesthetic feeling and is fit for industrial application.
